OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball was setback at 13th-ranked UW-Oshkosh, 78-64 on Wednesday night.

Mykaela Brandt made 4-of-4 from 3-point range to lead the Pioneers with 19 points. Rachel Cropp scored 12 points and recorded a team-high seven rebounds.

The Pioneers took a 7-6 lead early, but a 9-1 run by the Titans gave UWO a 15-8 lead with seven minutes into the game.

UW-Platteville managed to cut its deficit to five-points, 21-16, but the Titans responded with a six unanswered points, pushing their lead to double-digits, 27-16, with just under seven minutes left in the half. A three-pointer by UWO's Alicia Tollefson gave Oshkosh a 42-26 lead at halftime.

The Pioneers turned the ball over 11 times in the opening half, and UWO capitalized on UW-Platteville's miscue, scoring 16 points off turnovers. A tough first half of shooting by the Pioneers didn't help their cause as they shot a first half season-low 32.3 percent.

Down 58-38 at the 12:40 mark in the second half, the Pioneers used a 17-6 run, which was capped off with eight straight points by Brandt, to cut their deficit back to single-digits, 64-55 with five minutes left to play.

UWO called a timeout and a pair of three-pointers on the Titans' next two possession pushed their lead back to 13 points, 70-57.

The Pioneers couldn't come up with another run in the final four minutes as the Titans made their free throws down the stretch to seal the 78-64 victory.

UW-Platteville will play its final four non-conference games of the season over the next three weeks, and first of for the Pioneers is a trip to Coe on Saturday.
