Ward Wojciehowski joined the UW-Platteville coaching staff in fall of 2026 as a volunteer assistant coach, bringing 30+ years of baseball experience that spans from coaching, administration, recruiting, and player development.

For the prior eight seasons, Coach Wojo has seved as a Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Scout at the college level, identifying and recruiting top high school talent from the area. Collegiately, Wojciehowski served as an assistant coach in the PSCL, a summer collegiate league in Palm Springs, CA.Â

Prior to his time working in recruiting, Wojciehowski served on the Board of Directors for 10 seasons with the Port Washington Youth Baseball program in Port Washington, Wisconsin, where he founded the youth umpire program that developed many of the next generation of officials.Â

Coach Wojo spent more than 20 years in dugouts across various levels, beginning his coaching career as a high school summer travel baseball coach for five seasons in his home state of Indiana. Getting his start in baseball administration as a board member with Mason Youth Baseball in Mason, Ohio, Wojciehowski helped mentor and coach multiple teams across different age and talent levels within the organization.Â
Professionally, Ward built a distinguished career with a Milwaukee-based industrial sales and manufacturing company. During his tenure, he has held positions in direct sales, sales management, and many leadership roles. For the past 12 years, he led the company's sales training and development initiatives, serving as the lead Culture Coach and helping develop generations of sales professionals and leaders. His passion for coaching, mentoring, and talent development has been a constant throughout both his professional career and his involvement in baseball.
