MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team fell 2-0 Saturday afternoon at Edor Nelson Field to the Auggies of Augsburg University.
The Pioneers (4-6-2 overall) outshot the Auggies (6-4-1) 16-7, with four on goal for the Pioneers and three on frame for Augusburg.
The Auggies took the lead in the 19th minute when Lionel Vang found Nick Zuchowski to put Augsburg ahead 1-0. They extended the lead to 2-0 when Nick Vergara found Lalo Gormez in the 29th minute of play.
Overall, Nate Miller recorded one save on the night while Garret Kaelin tallied four.
The Pioneers will return to action on Friday, Oct. 11 when they travel to Carthage College with game time set for 5 p.m.
