PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team dropped a pair of duals Friday to Saint John's (Minn.) and Lakeland inside the Wehr Center. 

The Pioneers (1-6) dropped their first dual 30-21 to the Johnnies and then lost the closely contested dual to the Muskies 28-21. 

Highlights

• Wrestling at 141, freshman Owen Becker picked up a pair of wins starting with a 19-3 tech. fall (6:34) and then an 8-3 decision in the Lakeland dual. 
• Junior Jackson Kirsch took home a pair of wins at 285 pounds by pin fall (2:32) and then by forfeit.
• Junior Blake Delsman won his lone match of the day at 165 pounds in the Saint John's match with a 15-1 major decision. 
• Sophomore Zack Ries split the day and finished strong in the Lakeland dual by pinning his opponent (4:06) in the 149 match. 
• Junior Cal Ries also went 1-1 on the day and finished with a 10-4 decision at 184 pounds. 

The Pioneers will return to action and Williams Fieldhouse on Thursday, Jan. 15 when they host UW-Oshkosh at 6 p.m.
