GENEVA, Ohio – On the second day of the 2025 NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville track and field teams picked up All-American honors for the second straight day, this time by junior Caden Schneider in the 3000m steeplechase, at the SPIRE Institute Track and Field in Geneva, Ohio.
After breaking the school record yesterday, Schneider posted another strong time in the 3000m steeplechase to take home All-American honors for the first time. He finished the race in 8:53.00, good for third place in the event. Schneider becomes just the third Pioneer in program history to earn All-American honors in the 3000m steeplechase, joining Cam Klein (2008) and Michael Beatty (1989). The third-place finish matches Beatty for UW-Platteville's best finish in the event at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Senior Brenna Noon, competing in her third outdoor NCAA Championships, placed 12th overall in the shot put. Her best throw of the afternoon came on her second attempt, where she reached 13.65m (44'1.5"). It was Noon's second-best mark during the outdoor season, trailing only behind her qualifying distance of 14.00m from early April. Noon concludes her career with seven total NCAA Championship appearances, including a pair of first team All-American honors.
Junior Izzy Peterson will wrap up the championships for the Pioneers tomorrow when she runs in the 200m finals at 2:50 p.m.
