WHITEWATER, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team (1-4, 1-3 WIAC) finished Thursday night's dual with back-to-back wins as the Pioneers fell 40-7 to UW-Whitewater (3-6, 3-1 WIAC).
After the Warhawks jumped out to their large lead through eight weight classes,
Kain Killmer and
Jackson Kirsch once again closed out the night strong for the Pioneers. Killmer shut out Tyler Hadon in the 197-match with a 9-0 major decision and Kirsch followed the sophomore with a 9-6 decision in sudden victory in the 285 bout.
The Pioneers will now take a break until they return to action on Friday, January 9 for a pair of duals against Lakeland and St. John's.
