PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team competed Saturday at Lakeland University's Muskie Scramble. A number of Pioneers took to the mat in the pool play event, gaining experience early in the season before the first duals on the schedule.
UW-Platteville had 16 wrestlers place in their weight-class with four making it to the championship match. Taking first at 149A, freshman
Luke Kamish went undefeated, including a huge 10-6 decision over the #6 wrestler in the nation. His other wins included two falls and a major decision.

The Pioneers will now shift gears and prepare for the first dual competition of the season. UW-Platteville will host Cornell College on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. in Williams Fieldhouse.
