PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – After taking an early lead on Saturday, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team (1-5, 1-3 WIAC) fell 39-6 to No. 13 nationally ranked UW-Whitewater (6-8, 3-2 WIAC) inside Williams Fieldhouse.
The Warhawks picked up the first team points following a tech fall at 125, but freshman Brady Grennan quickly flipped the scoreboard when he pinned UW-Whitewater's Ethan Agnew (3:34) in the 133 match. Grennan is now 8-1 in the month of January, including six wins by pin fall. From then on, the Warhawks went on to take the next eight matches, with four Pioneers going the distance against their opponent.
