PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team honored six senior athletes and one manager on Sunday at the UW-Platteville Softball Complex. The team recognized the seniors in between games one and two where they lost 11-0 (5 innings) and 13-2 (6 innings) to the No. 19 nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh Titans.
The seniors recognized in between games included:

#12, 2nd base, Angela Laabs

The Pioneers (12-18, 4-8 WIAC) were unable to contain the Titans' (24-6, 10-2 WIAC) heavy hitting and conference leading pitching staff. UW-Oshkosh's Abby Garceau led the way for the Titans and went 7-9 on the day while Brianna Davis was close behind going 6-8 as the WIAC leader in wins, Sydney Nemetz earned the win in game two.
The Pioneers return to action on Monday, May 2 for the regular season finale at UW-River Falls starting 2 p.m. UW-Platteville dropped into the 6th spot in WIAC standings after Sunday's losses and will have to win both at UW-River Falls to bounce back into the top five teams which move on to compete in the conference tournament.
