PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team was shutout 37-0 by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Tuesday night in Williams Fieldhouse. The Pioneers drop to 2-3 and 0-2 in WIAC duals while the Blugolds remain undefeated against WIAC competition and improve to 6-4, 3-0 WIAC. 

The Pioneers had eight wrestlers go the distance including freshman Tyler Hannah who took the 184-pound match past regulation before falling 3-1 in SV-1. UW-Platteville was forced to offer the Blugolds six free points with a forfeit at 141 near the end of the dual which started at 165 pounds.

The Pioneers will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 8 when they travel to Pella, Iowa for the Central College Invite.
