Whitewater, Wis. - The Pioneer men's and women's cross country team competed at the 2021 Tom Hoffman Invite on Saturday, September 18. Teams in attendance included Aurora, Beloit, Bryant & Stratton, Cardinal Stritch, Concordia (Wis.), Edgewood, Lake County, Lakeland, Maranatha Baptist, Oakton, Sauk Valley, Washington University, Waubonsee, UW-Green Bay, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Whitewater, and Wisconsin Lutheran.
Coming in 29th place in the women's 6,000m race, Pioneer Samantha Meyer ran 24:37.3. In the men's 8,000m race, the first Pioneer to finish was Logan Bell, who took 17th place with a time of 26:40.4. The Pioneer men's team finish in fifth place among 13 team, while the Pioneer women's team finished in eighth among 13 teams.
The Pioneers will take on UW-Eau Claire and company at the Blugold Invite hosted at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wisconsin on Friday, October 1. The men's race begins at 4:15pm and the women's race begins at 5:15pm.
