Lieving shoots a 86 in final round at IWU Spring Fling

NORMAL, Ill. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team didn't recorded a team score in the final day of the IWU Spring Fling at Ironwood Golf Club in Normal, Illinois, because the Pioneers had a golfer withdraw due to injury..

UW-Platteville was led by the play of Kelsey Lieving, with a 86 on the final day to finish tied for 43rd (89-86=175). Just three stroke behind her was Kellsey Welter, who finished with a 178 (86-92), +34.

To round out the UW-Platteville lineup, freshman Taylor Egnarski was tied for 74th with a pair of 95's for 190, +46. 

DePauw won the tournament by 21 strokes over Washington U. (Mo.) with a 619 (311-308), +43. 

Next, the Pioneers have a busy week with a round on Thursday at Augustana (Ill.), and then spend Friday and Saturday at the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling at the Delbrook Golf Course in Delavan, Wis.
