26 competitors on the women's side and 56 more on the men's side took to the course at University Park on the University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus for the annual Alumni/Open Meet.

On the women's side, Danielle Kunkel cruised to the victory in a time of 15:15 almost two minutes ahead of Shea Bierman, a 2011 graduate. In the unscored meet, Olivia Bukowski (4^th, 17:15), Kiera Depies (5^th, 17:18), Megan Knutson (8^th, 17:29) and Teagan Seneczko (9^th, 17:31) were top finishers among the returnees.

On the men's side, seven of the top eight finishers were returning letterwinners. Winning the race was Patrick Klein, a 2011 graduate, who crossed the line in a time of 21:36. The top finisher of the returnees was Derek Fahrenkrug, just 23 seconds back.

Following the race, the Pioneers – both past and present – came together to recognize Katie Binning, who passed away in the spring of 2012. To honor Binning and her legacy, a tree was planted on the course.
