STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team fell to No. 14 UW-Stevens Point, 38-6, Friday night.

The Pioneers (0-2, 0-2 WIAC) took a quick 6-0 lead with wins from 125-pound freshman Cole Ferguson and 133-pound sophomore Mack Drees. Ferguson defeated Lance Fabry in a 3-2 decision, while Drees beat Ryan Osse, 2-1. The Pointers (7-1, 3-0 WIAC) responded quickly after falling behind to the young Pioneers by winning the final eight matches.

The Pioneers will look to bounce back quickly as they travel to UW-Eau Claire on Saturday at 2 p.m.
