Pioneers Finish 17th at IWU Spring Fling

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team finished 17th on Sunday at the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Fling at the Ironwood Golf Club in Normal, Illinois. Saturday's first round was cancelled due to inclement weather in the area.

North Central College won the team title with a 315 for a four-stroke victory over William Woods University. Amber Conrad of Olivet was the top individual with a two-over par 74. 

Leading the Pioneers was Kellsey Welter, who shared 48th place with four others with a 14-over par, 86. Next, Ellyn Subak was two strokes behind Welter and tied for 58th with an 88. Kerrie Liske tied for 73rd with a 90 and Tricia Pawelski tied for 80th with a 92 to round out the UW-Platteville lineup.

The Pioneers will next travel on Thursday, April 21st to the Augustana Invitational at the Emeis Golf Club in Davenport, Iowa.
