The UW-Platteville women's golf
team placed 13th among 21 teams at the Georgianni Memorial UW-Eau
Claire Invite Saturday and Sunday.
The first round was contested on
the par-72 Mill Run Course, and Sunday's on the 73-par Wild Ridge
Course.
Kellsey Welter played consistent
golf over the weekend, leading the Pioneers with a 91-90=181
effort. She was 41st overall. Kerrie Liske shot 186 to place 56th,
Tricia Pawelski 187 for 57th, and Helen Wilson 190 for 63rd. Ellyn
Subak played just the first day, carding a 96.
Third-ranked UW-Eau Claire won the
tournament with a 645 score. Coach Peter Reif's team shot 744,
three strokes out behind St. Thomas (Minn.) for 12th.
