UW-Platteville sophomore Kelsey
Lieving shot an 84--her second-best collegiate score--to lead the
Pioneers to fifth among eight teams at the UW-Whitewater
Invitational Friday.
The host Warhawks won the one-day
tournament with a 339, followed by UW-Stevens Point at 339, Robert
Morris 356, Carroll 364, UW-Platteville 368, UW-Oshkosh 377,
Edgewood 386, and St. Norbert College 431.
Lieving shot a 43 on the front nine
and 41 on the back nine to tie for fourth place.
Tricia Pawelski was 19th at 92,
while Kerrie Liske shot 93, Ellyn Subak 99, and Helen Wilson
111.
Coach Peter Reif's squad plays host
to the UW-Platteville Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the House
on the Rock Resort in Spring Green. Augustana, Clarke, UW-Oshkosh,
and UW-Stevens Point will join the Pioneers for the two-day
tournament.
